As it happens, Melissa receives a letter stating she inherited a house in Scotland. She decides to visit with the hope of fixing up the home to live there. On her travels, she meets Colin, who happens to be her husband's lawyer. He is from Scotland and is going back for a visit.
Melissa and Colin keep encountering each other as Colin's family is very active in the community. As Melissa thinks about the future, she keeps envisioning Scotland… and Colin.
