It’s Always Sonny by Kate Watson
I first met Sonny & Parker in Baby Llama Drama and I instantly loved both characters. I just couldn’t wait till their story was out. I love how an author can write a story that makes you laugh out loud but also have so much emotion you want to reach through the book and hug the characters. Ok. I know they aren’t technically real but Parker's story tore on my heartstrings and I just wanted to give her a big hug. I loved Parker and she was an amazing character who had been through some hard things in her life and was still coping with them. Sonny was a great guy who never stopped loving Parker and when they reconnect in this book he’s determined to win her back. Some other things I loved about this one included
- The one tent scene
- The Luciano Reunion
- Nonna
- The baby goats
- The Janes (friends who are there for each other)
- Found family
- Tummy waffles
- Therapy Representation
If you’re looking for second chances, forced proximity, found family, maybe some tummy waffles then this book is for you.
This book is a sweet & closed-door romance with dual-point-view.
Kate has become an auto-buy author for me. She weaves a story of love, laughter, and so many fun moments but also brings to light real life issues that people go through in life.
CW: anxiety, panic attacks, emotional abuse, minor character mentions of infertility
