Dammm ! Super solid horror novel! The world building and gradual ramp up was so effective going from interview to interview. Followed by the wild craziness of the 2nd half. The author packed so much haunting imagery into his description and was able to set a spectacular mood. I really did not feel like the story was too linear as it did maintain an appropriate level of unpredictability.
Even for a long book I felt the pacing was appropriate digging into the interviews was a real highlight experiencing the fear from the unwrapping of the mystery.
I felt the gore was balanced and fit with the story!
At points things did feel a little repetitive going through similar plot points over again but I still greatly enjoyed the read!
