Undeniable: Evolution and the Science of Creation by Bill Nye

5.0

I listened to this book via Audible and now I think I need to permanently add this to my bookshelves! Just a little context, I grew up going to a Baptist school and this (creationist/Earth is 6,000 years old) belief was held by parents who were not Baptist but equally religious. Now as I am in school studying physics, I have so many questions and things I have to "fix" because I was originally taught something completely different, or taught the ways that science lies.

Now I consider myself religious and I believe in a God and in creation but I don't see why evolution cannot be involved in creation, at least that is my personal belief.. God is a scientist of some sort. But off my religious beliefs and onto the book review.

I loved listening to Bill Nye read his own book, it brought it to a new level and brought me back to my Bill Nye the Science Guy" days (actually I am not past that, it's on Netflix you guys.. watch it). Bill Nye is a great scientist and educator and it's very appropriate that he would write this book. He not only addresses common "theories" by creationists (BTW there is a difference between those that believe God created the Earth and those that believe He created the Earth and did it in 6 literal days and the Earth is only 6,000 years old) but gives A LOT of scientific data to educate. Since I grew up in that world I really liked reading this because it specifically addressed what I grew up being taught and bridged that gap that I had.
