Maybe a 3.5? I was confused a lot of the time about the details, especially about transitions between scenes or perspectives. But it was definitely entertaining, and with that ending, I need to read the sequel.
2021 Reread:
Sticking with a 3.5 rating. I didn't like the beginning at all but I found it a lot more entertaining once they got to Sharr. Some parts were still confusing but I liked it a lot better this time and I'm planning to continue on to the sequel.
