I liked this one, especially the parts about Leslie and Captain Jim, but even though I own the rest of the series, I feel I’m content ending it here. I may come back to them after reading something else though. I loved wild, brilliant, and stubborn Anne when she was a child and teen, but this adult, mother Anne is a lot less fanciful and lacking a “scope for imagination.” I felt like I was just reading to see what happened to Leslie honestly. Even though it fits the time period, I just wanted a touch more adventure and thirst for academic merit left in Anne even as a devoted wife and mother.
