Splinter by Sebastian Fitzek

3.0

UPDATE: I originally gave this 4 stars, but after thinking about it, the motive was SUCH a letdown that I'm bumping this down to a 3.5 rounded to a 3.

Writing: translation wasn't great in this one tbh | Plot: thicc | Ending: didn't fks with the motive

Phat ass trigger warning: graphic violence, miscarriage

SYNOPSIS

Six weeks ago, Marc Lucas lost his wife and unborn child in a tragic accident. But when he returns home one night, he finds his supposedly dead, pregnant wife chilling is his apartment and she has no idea who he is. DA FK????

MY OPINION

This is my second book from Sebastian Fitzek (I gave [b:The Inmate|61175204|The Inmate|Sebastian Fitzek|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1662826400l/61175204._SY75_.jpg|61864612] at 4.5 rounded down) and even though I didn't like this one as much, I'll definitely continue reading his books. Ok so this premise is BONKERS and it's so bonkers it allowed me to yeet my disbelief without any qualms. It's kind of like Ragdoll—a 'corpse' composed of six bodies? You know it's going to be out of touch with reality from the beginning, so you can either buckle in and enjoy the ride, or go read a memoir
