I liked this, I liked this A LOT. CAn't quite love it though, and I've no idea why so not gonna try to explain how my book brain works!
Spencer lives about his mother's book shop, juggling the shop and school. Next door, at the tattoo shop, Finn arrives and sends Spencer all a flutter. But Finn carries some baggage, and he can't be happy while carrying that. Or can he?
Like I said, I liked this a lot. Finn and Spencer literally FALL into each other, and run with it. Whatever IT is, they fall hard and fast. I loved that Finn deals with whatever Spencer throws at him, blue glitter eyeshadow, smexy manties and a cat called Gallifry, and all!
I liked that is wasn't immediately clear why Finn came to town. That comes out in dribs and drabs and I loved being made to wait for the full story.
Its smexy and emotional, funny and witty, dark and deadly at times too!
There is a large supporting cast. I found them all very interesting and some clues to future pairings (I hope there will be more!) that I will read if and when they are released.
I can't see another book by this author, so if it IS their first? Nailed it, baby!
Well done, Ruby Raynes, I want more of these people in tattoo shop, they piqued my interest and thats a tough thing right now!
