Down the Drain by Julia Fox
4.0

I don’t care how much of this is true or how much is exaggerated. It was an extremely entertaining read and well written. The mix of comedy, tragedy, loss, and triumph made for an easily enjoyable read. I listened to the audiobook, and if you don’t mind a bit of a valley girl/vocal fry, then I highly recommend it. Even though I just read her memoir, I’m walking away feeling like I don’t know who the real Julia Fox is, and I honestly don’t care, in the most neutral way possible.

Honestly this was a perfect book to read at the moment because I’m constantly afraid of making mistakes, and not only did this book remind me that I could be making a lot worse decisions, but it also reminded me that making mistakes is a big part of life and growing up. I also want to have more courage and trust in myself to follow what I want even if it means big changes.
