The Secret Adversary by Agatha Christie
3.0

Dame Agatha's second Novel shies away of the detective novels she's most famously known for and focuses on a spy thriller which has two fledging private investigators, Tommy and Tuppence, embroiled in the search for a missing highly secret document from the Great War (before it was known as World War One).

To make matters complicated, the mysterious Brown is also hunting down the document which could topple the British Government. All hinges on a girl to which the documents have been entrusted before the sinking of the RMS Lusitania (which was actually torpedoed in 2015) and has gone missing ever since.

While I enjoyed the search for the girl and the document and guessing the identity of Mr. Brown (it quickly became a 50-50 thing and I guessed wrong, so kudos to Dame Agatha). But the whole Tommy and Tuppence relationship and their oudated speaking patterns were not my cup of tea !
