This story should be renamed the Sleeping Trials! Between how many times Thomas fell asleep in this book ( 29 TIMES ) and myself being bored out of my mind. Like good lord! Let’s walk through the desert, shit in the sand, and sleep! Oh! And the VERY STRANGE ‘love triangle”? I can’t even PROCESS Theresa’s back and forth WEIRD ASS plot. Don’t think I want to. Not to mention how quickly everyone dropped it. The characters say they’re mad about it, but then their actions feel like they’re cool with it.
And BRENDA? This bitch is weird! She’s the second big female representation we got in the story, and the first few minutes She was cool as hell... then it got very ... Yandere-ie? She’s very touchy and wants to be all snuggly with Thomas one minute and the next she’s all pissed off and fuck you like. I can’t really put my finger on it. She’s written weird. Then the ending? Kinda explains this but at the same time not at all? Again WEIRD ASS PLOT.
Minho is still my favorite character. We didn’t get as many moments with him. But when he was involved, it was good... I think what’s striving me the most to read the last book ( besides series completionism ) is Minho and his no filter sarcastic assholeness. If he dies. I’m not going to be happy
