Looooved this. Some of the unsexiest sex scenes I have ever read, and I loved them wholeheartedly. A cast of really fantastic characters, and an utter ode to friendship. The main character did my head in at times, but only because she was so realistic. Raunchy and ridiculous, it had me laughing a whole heap! And yet- it's also dark. It's fricking intense, looking at the playing out of an abusive relationship, captured incredibly and excruciatingly well. There were some iffy bits, some wording that wasn't great, and some bi erasure at times. I can see why people might not be comfortable with the portrayal of the relationship too. Overall, however, I adored it- and honestly, I found a great deal of validation in the idea that 'you can be the villain of someone else's story', even when they are so clearly the villain of theirs. That sentiment alone has made this book already play an incredibly important part in my life!
