The only reason I am even giving this book 2 stars is because of Hades. His parts were the only interesting ones. This book is a mess. Uma teaming up with Hades just sounds odd. Especially when Uma tells Mal in the 3rd movie that she was off exploring ways off the isle (her explanation as to where she's been). There is no mention of their fight in-between the movies. It's like these books are AU. Which reminds me. I don't know how this author keeps getting away with writing these books while not having them connect to the movies correctly. It's so frustrating. Not only did she not go into detail about why Maleficent lied to Mal about her father being human, but (in the movies) she already knows that Hades is her father. Really confusing/annoying. I wanted to like at least one of the books in this series and I really don't. I love the movies, but these books suck and the characters spend more time chatting than actually doing anything of importance. I'm not going to even bother with the Wonderland one (and I love Wonderland stories). I've wasted enough of my time on these books. I'll just stick with the movies. I'm glad I just borrowed the books from Libby instead of actually spending money on these wastes of time.
Moderate: Bullying, Confinement, Stalking, Fire/Fire injury
