I struggle to rate this book because the prose is (no surprise) beautiful but the characters and the story are frustrating and heartbreaking. There are so many themes are intertwined in this work that it would take a semester long course to unravel. I hate rating classics though, so I won’t. Just know it’ll make you cry.
