I had to ignore some blaring issues in the book for the sake of pushing through. I hated that the romance starts after the male lead sexually assaulted the female lead. If you choose to look past this and read the rest of the book, and you’re into dark romance, I can see why someone would enjoy it.
The book itself isn’t bad. Well written even. I found myself captivated by the actual story and character development, but the problematic theme of assault was really making me want to put the book down.
Overall, real the content warning before picking it up. I’m giving 4/5 for the story, though if I was rating based on my preference alone it would be a 2/5 at best.
