So, this book was definitely a tad bit on the raunchy side…if it were a fanfiction it would be a PWP. lol. seriously though, the majority of the ‘plot’ took place in a house…the rest of the novel consisted of these two lovely people getting it in.

The events of this book takes place along the timeline of Opal, when the main female protagonist in that novel was kidnapped for the first time…

i think the intention of this book was the show the readers of the Luxe novels, that the Luxe’s arch enemy, the Arum, aren’t all that bad…but considering Hunter (the male protagnist and lead Arum in this novel) had a hard on for 93% of the book, almost killed Serena (female protag) twice and had to resist killing her…or screwing her throughout the entire novel…i’m going to say my opinions on the Arum are pretty much the same as they were before i read this book…

on the other hand….we do get a glimpse of a different side of the Luxe race…they aren’t the beautiful, perfect rainbows they’re painted as in the Luxe novels. I don’t know if it’s because Daimon, Dawson and Dee are low key, and try to keep to themselves as much as possible…or simply because they aren’t important enough…but they’re kind has some really bad intentions for our beautiful Earth here and i’m going to need them to pull their heads out of their asses for a few moments and figure out a game plan here!

…..i don’t know if it was this book…or the effect of many books with this kind of outline, (where girl meets boy who is weird or isn’t human, girl and boy fall in love, girl forgets everything about her past life, and only focuses on her relationship with boy) but i’m getting so sick of reading books where the girl just completely forgets that she had a life prior to meeting some hot, exotic guy, she shouldn’t even be talking to.

Serena was a psychologist/guidance counselor when the story started, and when the book ended, she was Hunters property. (not really…but he did refer to her as ‘mine’ numerous times) — i would like for there to be a story that can have the romance, and ever lasting love between two people…but cant said two people, PLEASE keep some essence of who they were before they met their ‘other half?’ is that too much to ask for?! i don’t think so.

anyway….besides that. this was a pretty good book….pretty short considering but. good nonetheless.
