World War Z: An Oral History of the Zombie War by Max Brooks

5.0

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this book, especially as I'm not generally that interested in the zombie genre. But this wasn't really a book about zombies. It's a book about how people react to a disaster or by total war and how the world as a whole is affected by such events, that also just happens to have zombies in it. This book made me cry (mostly because dead dogs do that to me) and question and made me analyse my own behaviour. The interview format is interesting and allows you to get an intimate perspective on several different characters as well as on several different events.
This is a book I thoroughly recommend and one that I think has something for everyone.
