I think I really liked the first one of these Duet. That's what I remember anyway. The second one wasn't bad but it didn't bring much story to the table either.
The first 60% of Beyond These Walls felt like a really long epilogue. That entire part of the book consisted of planning a wedding and going on a honeymoon. That was really it. After that there was a rather predictable plot "twist" that I know I've read before in another book.
This didn't bring anything new to the table for me. It was well written. The characters were true to themselves. The pudding thing was over done. I would have been perfectly happy leaving it at the end of the first book. If you liked the first one and just want to continue that story without moving on to new plot then this is probably for you.

(One More Chance by Abbi Glines, probably so fresh in my mind because I just read it last month)This didn't bring anything new to the table for me. It was well written.
