I guess I didn't mind this book, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they are a serious fan of The Land of Stories.

I think I understand where the author is trying to go, but

"The other trees used to make fun of me, but now they're all dead."

is not my idea of an ideal children's picture book plot.
