I started this book hoping for a decent plot, not too much romance and passable writing.

I got a revenge plot (later half gets good) with a heroine hell bent on doing just that no matter the cost and romance that fit the story. 
The writing was good and pulled me right in. 

The Vampires were very unsparkling and it got (rating approved) dark.
