A Sacrifice in the Smoke by K.J. Sutton, Jessi Elliott

Wow this was suspenseful, sad and sexy (made me blush hard sexy). Is it weird to associate fried chicken with Noah? I can't believe I'm saying this but I think I'm warming up to whatever it is between Charlie and Noah. Throughout the series I didn't really know what to make of him. Yes he could be a potential love interest, yes he's hot and dangerous, but he can also be down right mean and insensitive. I want his backstory.

My only gripe were the antagonists. I think they could have been fleshed out better because I didn't find their motives behind the venom and attacks convincing enough.

Overall it was very entertaining and the ending was wow! I can't believe I have to wait a year for book 2! I'm definitely continuing and looking forward to what these ladies conjure up!
