Scott Pilgrim vs. the World by Bryan Lee O’Malley
3.0

Entertaining but shallow, Volume 2 is much superior to the first volume. There is some backstory and we get a little bit of explanation for why Scott would be a good fighter but it still seems out of character. The book is not to be taken seriously, which is the way it’s written, and this volume feels like it knows what it is more so than the previous one. I am still struggling, though, with liking Scott. He just comes off as such lazy bum and all the characters have no direction in their life.
