Girl on the Run by Abigail Johnson

4.0

"We are children hiding beneath the bed, and the monster is coming."

I've fallen in love with Abigail Johonson's contemporary novels, so I was excited to learn about the release of this thriller. Once it got to me, I flew through it in a day.

Although not as well developed or hard hitting as her contemporaries, this story does what it's supposed to do - it thrills. There's always something happening, the characters never have a chance to breathe. Being a reader of Dean Koontz, I will say it was different reading a teen thriller as opposed to one of his.

The romance was a little off putting for me, but I'm sure many people enjoy that aspect of the story. A fun read for an afternoon and one I can see myself having fun with again.
