I wasn’t expecting this to be such a good read! It is devastating and heartbreaking and makes my chest tight with emotions. The characters are beautiful and simple in a comforting way. We can learn a lot from this characters growth and understanding of herself. We have no control over what happens to us only how we react to it. I see myself so much in this character for so many reasons and it hurt to know what she was feeling. I didn’t call this book 5 stars until the very last page because this book truly surprised me.
