"I know looking will hurt, but I do it anyway, and every time you blow me away. I want your warmth, your attention, and whenever you're around, you make everything so much brighter."
Chad and Bailey bump into each other at the very first frat party of the year. As things start heating up between them they figure out they are in rival frats and stop everything. As time goes on, they both can not stop thinking about each other and start to sneak around. When a prank goes wrong, they need to decide which is more important, their relationship or the rivalry.
Chad is a total frat boy and Bailey is a rich kid just trying to get through his final year of college. They could not be more opposite of each other but make the perfect couple. Chad and Bailey seem to bring out the best in each other. I loved this book when I read it but loved it even more once I listened to it. I could not stop listening, was laughing out loud, and wanted to restart the book the minute it finished.
Audio... Alexander Cendese and Iggy Toma were the perfect voices for Chad and Bailey. They managed to bring more life to the story and the characters than I experienced reading the book and had me laughing out loud. I love when Alexander and Iggy narrate together.
ARC Review (Nov 2021)
4.5 Maple Leaf Review of Frat Wars: King of Thieves (Frat Wars 1) by Saxon James.
"I can't believe we fell asleep."
"I can. You're all warm and cuddly."
Chad and Bailey literally run into each other at a frat party and hit it off right away. When they figure out they are from rival fraternities, Bailey walks away. When the pull towards each other is too much to fight and secretly start spending time together. After what seems like the perfect weekend away from campus, they return to the chaos that spells disaster for everything they are building.
Chad and Bailey are completely opposite in every way. Chad is the fly by the seat of your pants type while Bailey is a planner. The chemistry between them was scorching hot. I loved how Bailey was able to bring out the softer side of Chad. I also loved the easy-going, laugh-out-loud, fun nature of the whole book.
I am looking forward to more Frat Wars in the future as I am sure we are in for a lot more fun and excitement at the fraternity.
Frat Wars: King of Thieves is an mm, college, rivals to lovers romance that is told in the first-person point of view of Bailey and Chad.
