I absolutely loved this book. A character study of a deeply fucked-up woman (by her own admission) struggling with the very real ramifications of homophobic religious trauma, and one of the worst betrayals a parent can do, meeting a self-identified vampire. The vampirism featured much less than I thought it would, but the book was still enjoyable literary fiction nonetheless. Also, always love to support Scottish authors.
