The Wedding Party by Jasmine Guillory

emotional funny hopeful

3.5

I stand by my reciew of the second. These characters feel very lived in. And so does their various connections, they don't seem loosely connected but those with deep and often loose connections. Like the friendship between Maddie and Carlos, there are so many people I know as mutual friends I will tease and have a good time around even if I don't see them outside of our mutual friends' houses.

Maddie and Theo seem like real people, with their real lives not dropping for the romance or ignoring it. The dramatic events take place aided their development instead of contrived. And they have continual deepening conversations that feel authenic.

Really enjoyed this addition.
