Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, the Ultra-Runners, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen
by Christopher McDougall
McDougall paints a vivid picture in this manifestoish book about running. It reads like a Hollywood screenplay in places, and it's filled with larger than life characters; noble indians, crazy hermits, evil photographers and hung-over ultrarunners. Together they tell a story about people who are passionate about running. It's more inspirational than informational but some sci-facts are thrown in.
