I feel like I need to re-read this book nearly immediately. This book is gonna be in my brain for a really flipping long time. I haven’t cried at a book like this in so long and I’m so glad the author didn’t use the “oh she’s just crazy and dreamed it all up trope” like I thought she was going to do. Such an unsettling book and so so good. Just so good. But heart wrenching and so sad. But goddamn it the prose in this book. What a great book full of inspiring and deeply unsettling prose. And all the colors in the chapter breaks describing each of the characters. Fuuuuck. I listened to it and the narrator did an amazing fucking job and now I also need a kindle or physical version so I can annotate every fucking beautiful line in the book. I’m so thankful for books y’all. I’ve always been deeply impressed by Tiffany D. Jackson and this book is no different.
