Did not finish book. Stopped at 50%.

This book just isnt for me, I can't tell if it's because I just rlly dont like Arlo, the mc, whose perspective the book is from, and how introspective and self-loathing he is, I find it annoying af, or if it's the formatting of the book itself, the mix between past tense and retrospective (i find the constant "i didnt think anything was weird at the time" and "that was the last normal day for me", etc etc very jarring like its being told retrospective but it also never seems to fit whenever sentences like that are used????) Or if it's just a mix of both that is just too much for me. I kept waiting to get absorbed into the book, but I got to around half way and I just wasn't and I found myself getting bored and irritated. I rlly like Ben, Casper and Mars tho so I might try reading Forever Red, or at least the exert, and see if that works more for me
