I'm really not sure how to put my thought about this book into words... The concept is such an interesting one but overall it just kind of fell flat. While I liked the often hopeless tone, there wasn't much of a plot and I didn't particularly connect to any of the characters which made for a less interesting experience than I hoped for. The lack of answers was also frustrating. I am not the kind of person who needs every question answered but something would have been nice.
Graphic: Confinement, Death, Terminal illness, Grief
Moderate: Misogyny, Torture, Kidnapping
