This should have been the fifth book and the fifth book didn’t really need to exist. There were maybe a couple plot points that could have been brought here and the rest just left behind. I also really feel like I would have enjoyed this series as a whole more if it wasn’t trying to be a romantasy. Like the first arc with Midas was exciting, I like the relationship with

, I like that side characters had their own lives and interests, but all of the actual romance scenes felt so forced to me. If it had just been a fantasy adventure with romance sub plots I think it would have been better.
