✨What it is about:
Former con artist Phoebe Graves is trying to live an honest life in a wealthy Connecticut town, but things get messy fast. While fake-dating a rich local, she’s secretly in love with her best friend’s brother. When her scheming mother shows up, Phoebe must return to her old tricks to protect her new life, her love, and herself.✨
💭My thoughts:
This is the second book in the Webs We Weave series, and I was super excited to jump into it right after finishing the first, especially because of that cliffhanger! I was happy to see many of my questions answered in this one, along with a lot more insight into the rest of the siblings. I’m now fully invested in all the characters and totally rooting for them.
What those parents did… wow. I can’t even describe it. So much drama, so much tension—and the twists! I also really enjoyed seeing Phoebe and Rocky’s relationship start to blossom here.
I’ll stop before I spoil anything, but this story was packed with fun, layered with sad truths, and the ending left me seriously wanting more. I wish book three was out already—but for now, I’ll have to wait to find out what happens next. Can’t wait!
🎧 Aaron Shedlock and Carly Robins did a wonderful job narrating—playful and flirty when needed, but serious and grounded during the emotional and tense moments. I definitely recommend picking up the audio for this one!
