This volume was a little bit slower than the previous instalments, which provided a nice relief! However, that didn't stop the manga from delving into deep topics and to finish on a proper angsty note! The plot thickens, that's for sure!

Coco and friends journey on the road to participate in the Silver Eve festival, which they have been preparing for since last volume. They find the city incredibly lively, but danger also lurks about and keeps everyone on edge. We also get to see more of this world's politics in this volume, as we attend a high council with the Three Wise and the Five Rulers. Finally, Coco and Tartah are reunited with Custas and he is rather different now...

Spoiler thoughts:
- The Three Wise were incredibly interesting to follow! I really enjoyed that chapter, especially for the short fight between Easthis and his master. It shows how powerful these witches are, even without access to their magic.
- Chapter 49 was centered around sexual abuse, which the manga handled tactfully and in an emotional manner. As usual, it proves able to depict sensitive topics with a lot of care and consideration, which I appreciate more and more as the story goes on. Through this, we get to see a side character's story, but we also get to learn more about the Knights Moralis and the way they support each other.
- Coco's pain at meeting a little girl with the same dream as her was incredibly sad to read. She wouldn't wish that pain on anyone, but she knows that at the moment, she can't help that little girl. Coco is once again proving to be empathetic not just for her friends, but also for people who cross her path. Which is why...... that ending hurt!! It was even more painful to see Custas, so happy and bright in the last volume, turn into this vengeful child who attacks his own friends. This kid made its way into my heart last volume, and his feelings of betrayal push him to hurt the very friends who did everything to help him. I hope that these three can come to an understanding and talk things through, like they usually do.

Overall another great volume, this series never cease to amaze me! Now onto volume 10 ✨
