Let Me Go by Chelsea Cain

Hoo boy, this was a doozy.
I don't get all the negative reviews. This is by far the most suspenseful of the GR/AS books IMO, especially the last 1/4 or so of the book. Perhaps people are just getting fatigue? Don't know. I think CC did an awesome job with it.
And just when you think there's nothing to add to Gretchen's character, she pulls a number that makes you question her motivations all over again. I won't give away what happens, but even I was a little surprised.
Regarding Jack's house...you know it's real, right? Maybe not the tunnels, but the house and island are legit. I recall reading about it when it all went on sale a few years ago. CC read about it, too, and decided it would be awesome to kill someone in that house (she said so at an author event I attended for the release of book #5). I'm not sure if GR strips links from reviews, but in case it doesn't, you can see some photos of the island and exterior of the house here:

I was really worried that this would be the last in the series, but it sounds like it isn't. It's amazing that these books are so consistently entertaining. You'd think CC would run out of ideas, but nope. This is one nasty as hell book, but I loved it. Let's keep 'em coming.
Oh, and it's about time thatArchie and Susan start elevating the discourse, if you know what I mean . That bit of story arc needed to progress.
