πŸ‘€It was one of those rare thrillers that i wasn't able to figure out. It was dark, mysterious and very very intriguing. The book has multiple POVs and many characters, all so shady and with their own dark secrets. At one point i suspected every character because of their unreliable statements & secrets.

πŸ‘€There's Saffyre Maddox, a teenager who is haunted by her past. Someone did something bad to her when she was 10. She went to therapy for years but seems like nothing can help her overcome the trauma of what happened to her.

πŸ‘€There are the Fours, a family that looks perfect until Cate (the wife) let's us through the past of her relationship with Adam (the husband) and Saffyre discovers the dark secrets of the family.

πŸ‘€And there's Owen Pick, a man in his 30s who lives alone, he is socially awkward and he has lost his job because of some allegations of sexual misconduct at workplace.

πŸ‘€When the sexual assaults in the locality increase and Saffyre Maddox goes missing, things start to unfold and everyone starts suspecting a person who might or might not be the culprit.

πŸ‘€This was my first Lisa Jewell books and i loved how she weaved the plot and all the characters together so perfectly. She definitely knows how to keep the readers on the edge of their seats. Would definitely like to read more of her work.

πŸ‘€ If you like fast paced crime & suspense thrillers, this book is definitely a big yes from me.
