Just Some Stupid Love Story by Katelyn Doyle

challenging emotional funny sad tense slow-paced

1.0

This has been happening with me a lot nowadays, I like the blurb and then get all excited to read a book but when I actually get into it, I am only left feeling disappointed, which is exactly what happened with this one. I felt like Seth was so hopeless and a doormat. After how Molly behaved with him in the past, he should've held some resentment but instead he was all up in her business and I just didn't like how he jumped so fast into relationships. Molly was straight up a bitch. I did not sympathize with her and the way she always broken Seth's heart was downright mean. Her father's behaviour and their past was no excuse for her to treat people like that. She was a commitment phobe and didn't deserve to be given a second chance imo.
The biggest thing that threw me off was the back and forth between them and how they literally were in a full fledged relationship with other people during their separation. (Seth was going to get engaged to a woman and Molly was dating an actor.) The time gaps were really so unnecessary and confusing and took away my desire to read further.
Also the chemistry between Seth & Molly was non existent. I was not expecting the insta love either and to be honest, only 20% into the book and I was bored. I have nothing else to say other than the fact that I just regret picking up this book and wasting my time.
