Fable for the End of the World by Ava Reid
3.75
3.75☆
The premise and concept of this book started out so promising. I loved the sapphic ghost-in-the-shell-X-hunger-games vibes. Ava Reid creates a very atmospheric and disturbingly plausible dystopian Cyberpunk future world. But, ultimately, the execution felt a tad undercooked. I found myself craving a deeper exploration of the characters and themes (and my hunger for this only grew the further I progressed through the story). I also felt the romance progressed too quickly for my liking. The transition from mortal enemies to confessions of love was very fast. Still, there's plenty to enjoy here, and I will most certainly be checking out some of Ava Reid's other work.
