The Antidote for Everything by Kimmery Martin

3.0

For the first half, I couldn’t put this book down and was excited to see where it would go. Then it became overly melodramatic and tried to do too much, and as a reader, I found what I thought was the original point - develop empathy around healthcare discrimination, specifically trans patients - was lost. So important topic muddled with melodrama and a need of editing. I appreciate the author’s note at the end of a reminder that healthcare for LGBTQ+ folks remains in danger and must be protected.
