Absalom, Absalom!
by William Faulkner
Sometimes, objectively, you know a novel is good and making interesting points, but it’s not to your personal tastes. I do think it might be a book you should read a second time because between the extreme stream of consciousness writing and time shifts meant to confuse the reader and highlight inaccessibility, there’s definitely so much I missed. However, I really did not have a fun time reading it the first time round, so I will be hard pressed to give it the time it probably deserves. It wasn’t for me and that’s okay!
