Enjoyed reading a mystery set in the time period of late 1800s that features a smart, likable, “morbid” her words amateur sleuth. Her father is a lawyer so she has access to some intriguing cases, resources, and of course she stumbles onto murder cases. Her well educated tutor is a wonderful character. And I’d be amiss if I didn’t mention Petunia the cat.
