Development of the plot was really slow in this one compared to GoF and the previous books. A lot of Ron, Hermione, and Harry fighting in this book. Harry ignores explicit instructions from every trusted adult. Harry lashes out every ten seconds. It feels like Umbridge gets off easy.
I felt more of an impact at the writing of Cedric’s death than Sirius’ even though they were both “instantaneous.”
I know the characters have to grow, but it really feels like an in-between story.
