Charlie is very sweet. Love him. Dev on the other hand is insufferable. He's terrible at his job, insensitive, and rude, and none of that changes by the end. I also couldn't get on board with Dev's faith in a reality show actually being able to garner true love. For someone who's only seen it on TV? Sure. But for someone who works behind the scenes to help create the drama, and manufacture a believable relationship? No.
Most of this book felt like a 2 star, but the ending pushed it down to 1. It took what little momentum this story had and buried it under stupidity and stubbornness.Despite wanting to be with Charlie deep down, Dev just gave up. He basically needed to be forced to see him again. Where's the romance if one character can't even be bothered to fight for the relationship? Also, as a thin person myself, I can't think of anything less romantic than being thought of as "sharp" and "pointy".
