Overall I enjoyed this and I found the language a really interesting mix of English and Scots. I would definitely say that Summer Song is the highlight though. Not so much in subject matter, as I think if anything the issues that each book handles get progressively more interesting as the books progress, but the time taken for them gets reduced. I suppose what makes these books so fun though is all the perspective that gets left out, enough for you to know that there's an entire living body of work hiding just behind the page that you will never be privy to
