Water Bound
by Christine Feehan
3.5 Stars.
Would have been 4.5 if Ms. Feehan wasn't so OVERLY wordy and repetitive.
For all those who read Kristen Ashley and knows how wordy she can get in descriptions, Let me tell you Now!
Feehan takes the Cake in that department. In comparison of the two, KA's descriptive writing looks conservative and restrained. And That is Saying Something!
Feehan is also very repetitive.
The mc's and other characters are interesting. The steam, suspense, mystery are all intriguing.
I also found a couple of editing errors.
While I like the story, I can't say I loved it. I would have if I didn't have to read the same 'Inner Thoughts' of both mc's over and over again.
Truthfully, this could have easily been 100 pages shorter. And it really should have been.
Anyway, I will continue the series for 2 reasons.
1. It is connected to the Torpedo Ink series, which I like better. This series came first and after reading the 1st book in that series I realized I was missing information from this one.
2. I am invested in finding out more about this World she has created.
I will say, be prepared to skim over a lot of repetition and overly wordy descriptions about EVERYTHING!
