It took a minute to get in to but before I knew it I was pretty caught up in this world.
Are there problems? Oh, so many. The writing is not great, the characterization is all over the place, the writing of poc is a little yikes at times, the plot is threadbare. But is it fun? Absolutely. And the ending?????? That last page bumped the whole book up from 3 to 4 stars for me.
There is a ton of transphobia which, while obviously presented as bad, is still hard to read and I imagine could be very triggering to some.
But overall a good time and I have to read the sequel now.
