morganedwardsreads 's review for:
The Nightingale
by Kristin Hannah
this book is an extraordinary love letter to women, especially those that have sacrificed everything for others. perhaps this is a weird way to start a review of a book based in France during WW2, but everything works in the nightingale because the basis of it is love. I cried more through the middle of this book and hardly at the end, I think by then I was so fatigued from the emotional turmoil and the earlier crying.
perhaps a more articulate review will be written in time, but for now I am processing one of the best written reads with such a devastating and real and well researched storyline. ugh Kristin Hannah the woman you are.
