The Mermaid's Madness by Jim C. Hines

4.0

This time, the princesses face off against, well, you read the title. Riffs nicely on The Little Mermaid, and fully addresses all the ways that was a creepy story. I liked this book a lot better than the first. I think it helped that the plot both had more twists and turns and felt tighter. Also, though the book still had a humorous tone, and wacky hijinx, the characters seemed more serious, and I had an easier time relating to them. As of book two, I'm really enjoying the development of and interplay between the three princesses. I'm especially fond of the interaction between Snow White and Sleeping Beauty. Have ordered #3 from the library.
