I've read some books in this series and so far, this one had more angst and depth. I loved Luce since the beginning itself and I knew that she was misunderstood. Literally all the people around her were out for her blood and I did not like any single side character except Yuna, she was the best! Sebastian was an asshole and I really hated the way he treated her with so much contempt in the beginning and it took him so long to finally realise his feelings and stop his vendetta against her, that's what made me mad. The groveling was there but it wasn't satisfactory to me tbh. In the last few chapters, Luce went through so much and I was literally crying for her. Maybe if the development in Luce & Sebastian's relationship was handled better, this book would've been a four star read for me but since that was not the case, I'll stick to my rating. Though the writing and pacing were really good and I was engaged from start to finish and couldn't put the book down. So, I'll continue reading this series and see which book I like the most.
