The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner
2.0
From a book with a serial killer in form of Apothecary, i expected something dark, twisted and mind-boggling. But unfortunately it tured out cute, sweet and almost fairytale-esque. Conflict Emerged and got solved too easily. And Caroline's story was totally unnecessary. And the juxtaposition of the events did not go well. Everything is too coincidental, lacked believability.
I suppose, this book wanted to be something like the documentary about the Jack The Ripper case of [a:Patricia Cornwell|1025097|Patricia Cornwell|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1608833403p2/1025097.jpg]. Unfortunately it missed the mark miserably!
